Speeches or Toast during your Wedding Reception!

Speeches or Toast during your Wedding Reception!

One of the tasks for your Maid of Honor and his Best Man there are the toasts during reception.

The differences between a toast and a speech are:

Toast: a call to a gathering of people to raise their glasses and drink together in honor of you both

Speech: this is more a formal and long discourse

So you really should opt for having just a toast or two, but those should be a 2 or 3 minutes long;

Talk with them and make sure that they have a small toast, something fun, sweet and short. This will apply for anyone who you would assign to have a toast. (Maid of Honor, Best Man, Dad’s, Mom’s etc.)

If one of them would like to say a Speech and you are going to allow them, then think in having these speeches the night before the Wedding, during your rehearsal dinner or welcome cocktail.

It is very important that they show you what they are going to said, you both don’t want to be embarrassing or overwhelmed for their comments. Also ask them to avoid any sad memories, this is your Big Day and a celebration, so all you want is be happy and have fun, this feeling will be reflected in your pictures, so enjoy everything and smile all the time.

Ask to your Wedding Designer at BeThatBrideEvents.com to help you to coordinate having the toasts during the dinner, so in that way, as soon as you done with your entire dinner then you and your guests will be able to enjoy the party, have fun and dance.
