Cabo pre-wedding activities

I’m going out on a limb here, making an assumption or two about you and the guy you’re in love with!  You are Destination Wedding bound!  Congratulations!!   Not constrained by the traditions of the usual church wedding in your hometown with everyone you or your parents know in attendance, you have decided to get married in Los Cabos, Mexico and will create a fabulous, romantic, individualized experience for you, your families and your closest friends.   Your wedding can include any traditional elements that appeal to you, but the doors are wide open to opportunity!  You can set the tone for your entire marriage, surrounded by love of one another and your guests, and situated in one of the most beautiful locations on earth!

Most Cabo weddings include a welcome get together, a rehearsal, a dinner to follow the rehearsal, the ceremony itself with a party to follow, and a “morning after” brunch as guests return to their homes, but there are no rules!  All of these events are open to your creativity as you stylize your wedding experience and schedule events for your guests’ mini-vacations!

It’s likely that you will want to plan some time with your attendants – maybe a shopping trip to San Jose del Cabo where you can visit art galleries or stop here and there to sample flavored tequilas.  Or maybe you’ll plan a spa day with the girls, and at the same time, your groom and the groomsmen may take off for some deep sea fishing and male bonding!   Or – you can have some activities for the whole wedding party like margaritas and hors d’oeuvres by the pool or under a palapa on the beach.

Cabo has many well organized activities available to tourists.  Talk to your wedding planner to get great prices on activities for your guests, ranging from whale watching in season, to a group camel safari, or zip lining!  Remember – you are creating an overall experience for yourselves and your guests, and memorable activities add to the fun!  If you want to tie the event to a wedding tradition, how about planning a dinner cruise to follow your ceremony rehearsal?  Dinner and drinks are included, the music and entertainment are provided by the staff on the boat you select, and once again, by having your wedding planner book your tour, you can capitalize on the best prices.

Be creative and enjoy your decision to look to the non-traditional experience of a destination wedding in Cabo San Lucas!
